I wrote this song my freshmen year of college while going through the ups and downs of a long distance relationship. The overall anxiety of being in that situation brought out too much emotion for my own good, resulting in this song.
lyrics
Looking out my window
I wonder if it's raining where you are
And it's late October
When I never see your face no more
It may seem it's falling through
But that's cause I'm not there by you
Love's not there to keep us crying, love
And I don't want to leave you picking up
All the pieces
Hold your head up, darling
Take a breath and open up the door
When it's missing, honey
Please don't think that I am wanting more
